Mix the apples, onion, and cheese together before spreading on the crust to even out the texture. Everyone likes this a bit differently, so play around with it.
Ingredients
1 store-bought pizza dough, uncooked
1 tbsp ground ginger
4 large apples, thinly sliced
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
1 cup low-moisture mozzarella, freshly shredded
1 cup sharp cheddar, freshly shredded
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Roll out the pizza dough and sprinkle with the ground ginger. Bake for 7–10 minutes until set but not yet golden.
Remove the crust from the oven. Layer the apple and onion slices generously over the top. Sprinkle with the cinnamon and scatter with both cheeses.
Bake for 15–20 minutes more, until the cheese is melted and the edges are golden. Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
