Can also be cooked on high for about 5 hours. The messier they are to eat, the better they are.
Ingredients
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
2 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp onion powder
4 lbs baby back ribs, trimmed and cut into 4–5 pieces
2 cups barbecue sauce, divided
1/2 cup water
Preparation
In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, Cajun seasoning, salt, oregano, and onion powder. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels and rub the spice mixture generously all over.
Brush 1/2 cup of the barbecue sauce over the ribs and arrange in the slow cooker. Pour the water around the ribs. Cook on low until tender, about 8 hours.
Preheat the broiler. Transfer the ribs to a foil-lined rimmed baking sheet. Brush generously with the remaining barbecue sauce. Broil until the sauce is caramelized and beginning to char at the edges, 3–5 minutes. Serve immediately.
