Inspiration: A Spicy Perspective

Do not, I repeat, do NOT be afraid to add more of any ingredient. The wings will soak up as much marinade as you give it. Just make sure you’re stocked on wet wipes.

Ingredients

3 lbs chicken wings, trimmed ½ cup honey 2 tbsp olive oil 1 ½ tbsp chili powder 2 tsp salt 2 tsp garlic powder 5 limes, zested

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 450° F and line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.

  2. Place the chicken wings in a large bowl and pour the honey, oil, chili powder, salt, garlic powder, and lime zest over the chicken. Toss and massage until each piece until completely coated. Then lay the chicken out on baking sheet in a single layer. Make sure the pieces don’t touch.

  3. Bake the chicken wings for 15 minutes. Flip the chicken and bake another 15 minutes.

  4. Rotate the chicken one last time and bake another 5-10 minutes until crispy and dark. (The rotating helps the chicken not to burn on one side.) Serve warm!
