Baked Chili Lime and Honey Wings

Don’t be afraid to add more of any ingredient. The wings will soak up as much marinade as you give them.

Ingredients

3 lbs chicken wings, trimmed

1/2 cup honey

2 tbsp olive oil

1 1/2 tbsp chili powder

2 tsp kosher salt

2 tsp garlic powder

5 limes, zested

Fresh lime juice, for finishing

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, toss the wings with the honey, oil, chili powder, salt, garlic powder, and lime zest until completely coated. Arrange in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each piece.

  3. Bake for 15 minutes. Flip and bake for another 15 minutes.

  4. Rotate the wings one last time and bake for 5–10 minutes more, until deeply caramelized and crispy. Rotating prevents burning on one side. Remove from the oven and immediately squeeze fresh lime juice generously over the wings. Serve immediately.
